What Is Heresy?

The word, "heresy," has historically never been used as frequently as it is today. Since the advent of Christianity, even non-Christians have thoughtlessly used the word, without ever considering its true meaning.

The Church of God believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong, who came, wearing the flesh, in accordance with the prophecies of Jesus’ second coming. The Church of God keeps the Passover and the Sabbath day, as Christ taught; however, the world rejects the Church, arguing, "They believe in a man," and, "They keep the Sabbath." The Bible testifies that the churches keeping Sunday service, Christmas, and Thanksgiving Day, and who revere the cross and the Virgin Mary—without ever referring to the Bible—are the true heretics.

We need to come to understand what "heresy" truly is. If we do not realize what is seen as heresy in the eyes of God, we will be led into destruction. The word "heresy" means the dissent or deviation from a dominant truth of God—that is, the adherence to lawlessness.

Definition of Heresy

1) The dictionary’s definition
① adherence to a religious opinion contrary to church dogma
② dissent or deviation from a dominant theory, opinion, or practice
③ an opinion, doctrine, or practice contrary to the truth or to generallyaccepted beliefs or standards

2) The origin of the word
The word "heresy" comes from the Greek αἵρεσις, hairesis (from αἱρέομαι, haireomai, "choose"), meaning either a choice of beliefs, or a faction of dissident believers.

3) The Bible’s interpretation
Looking in the Bible, let us first locate the verses which mention the word "heresy."
Gal. 5:20, KJV 『Idolatry, witchcraft...wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,』
2 Pet. 2:1 『...They will secretly introduce destructive heresies...』
Tit. 3:10, KJV『 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject...』

4) The Doctrine of Christianity
At the time of the Early Church, heresy was considered to be any opinion or doctrine which deviated from the truth of the Early Church, from those who followed only the teachings of Jesus. In other words, the religious organizations that do not follow the words of God, which have been written in the Bible, are heretical.

Although I used to follow God my own way thinking that I would achieve salvation, I now know that I was following God incorrectly and actually going the way of destruction. I used to claim that I knew God and that I believe in the Bible, but actually I didnt know God at all. Because true God is Christ AhnSahngHong who came in 1948... Now many people are in the same position as I was, thinking they dont know God but are being mislead by many false teachings.

1 John 2:4The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Ouch! even though i said I knew God, I didnt exactly do what He commanded. After all, isn't believing and having faith just enough?

James 2:17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Ok, so God obviously wants us to take some action...But what type of action? So many people say that they are Jesus' followers or better known as "christians" and because Jesus is love He will save them...But I don't want to create my own God that follows what I think, but I want to follow God and do what He thinks. Let's see what is the way to be a true follower of Christ.

John 8:31[ The Children of Abraham ] To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.

Jesus Christ said, if you hold on to His teachings then you are really His disciples. Then not just be saying we are, but actually holding on or practicing the teachings of Christ can we be true disciples.

John 8:51I tell you the truth, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.

Again Jesus emphasized that we should keep His word...But when did He speak about the way to never see death and have eternal life?

John 6:54Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

Through Jesus' Flesh and Blood we can have eternal life and escape death..But not just by saying we know but we have to keep his WORD. On Passover night (Mt 26:17,Luke22:7) Jesus Christ promised his Flesh and Blood. Then only by celebrating it, can we be true followers of Christ and actually say we believe in God. But Jesus Christ also said something very important 2,000 years ago that nowadays many people deny.

John 16:13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

John 14:26But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Jesus Christ prophesied that when the Holy Spirit comes He will guide us into All Truths.
Nowadays, no one knows even about the simple truths of the Bible like the Sabbath as Saturday or the Passover instead of Communion. No one except the Church of God World Mission Society. Why only them? Because the Holy Spirit came and established this church and brought All Truths that were in the Bible. The Holy Spirit is Christ AhnSahngHong...So now when I say i know God, I know I'm telling the truth most importantly in God's viewpoint. Christ Ahnsahnghong who has revealed all the truth in the Bible

There are so mane different churches in the world.It seems to be strange, because there is only one God's message, one bible, and one truth.
Then, how come are there so many different churches claiming they know the bible and they are the truth?

According to the bible,

Rev 5:1-5 (Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, "Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?" But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.")

The bible says that only the Root of David is able to open the bible. Then, those who are taught by the Root of David will see the truth in the bible. Would you like to know the truth? then, SEEK the Root of David. He will lead you into all the truth. Next time, Let's find the Root of David so that we may know and believe the truth in the bible.

I’ll be a warrior of faith

First and foremost I want to give all honor and thanks to our heavenly Father and Mother for allowing me to have the gift of eternal life and for all their love and sacrifice.

On May 1, 2006, God gave me the opportunity to visit Korea for a second time to see our Mother the New Jerusalem. I believe this trip was truly a gift from God that I didn’t deserve. As a sinner, I don’t deserve to even go near the Most Holy Place, but thanks to the grace of God I was allowed once again to see Her glory. Father and Mother, I truly give you thousands of thanks!

This trip was an eye wakening experience for me. From the first day I arrived in Korea, Father and Mother allowed me to see the purpose of my visit. Not only did I realize Father and Mother’S love and sacrifice more deeply, but I was also able to realize the way I was walking towards the kingdom of heaven. Seeing the examples of the brothers and sisters from Korea, and most importantly, hearing Mother’S word surely awakened my wretched soul a lot more. It let me see and realize how little I had done for my own salvation. One of the words that Mother, God Almighty, spoke, which will never erase from my mind, was that we should preach and not be silent no matter what, so that we would not be false prophets. We can’t be mute dogs but be the true prophets that save the world. I’ve realized what a great mission we have. Mother also told us to be just like the Apostle Paul who sacrificed his life for the gospel work. Through Mother’S words of encouragement my soul was revived.

I have always been a very shy person, which makes it very hard to speak to people I don’t know. I have been in the truth for two years thanks to God’S grace, but the greatest persecution I have has been my own mind. Even though I wanted to preach, something in my mind always blocked me and I would let many souls go by without hearing the words of salvation. This always bothered me and even put my faith down.

However, when I heard these words from Mother I felt as if she was speaking directly to me. Even though it pierced my heart a little, I thank God because it truly let me realize what is the only way I can please Father and Mother. I can’t have my own mind because it is just a sinner’S mind. I have to let go of it and just have room for the Holy Spirit to work through me.

Mother said she is with us. So, who can go against us” Nobody. There is nothing or no one I should fear. I have been given a great mission, but in order to receive many blessings I realized I have to be the tool used by God so that many souls will be saved.

Now, whenever I’m shy or scared to preach, Mother’S word fills my mind and reminds me of the mission I have. Just like the Apostle Paul, I want to please my heavenly Father and Mother. Although I am weak, if I depend only on God I know, I will be able to save many souls and lead them to Mother’S arms. Heavenly Father and Mother, please forgive me for all that I have done to You and allow me to truly have Your love engraved in my heart and sacrifice for my brothers and sisters just as You’ve done for us!

Hidden Message In Abraham's Family

I am still learning the truth in the bible. The more you study, the more you see how amazing the teachings of the Bible are. No mere man can reveal the truth of the bible. It is to be revealed only through second coming Christ.

Today, I want to share the core truth of the bible, which second coming Christ Ahnsahnghong revealed.

In Genesis, we can find the history of Abraham, our forefather of faith. Abraham had no child to inherit his estate until he became old. So, he decided to give all his property to his faithful servant, Eliezer of Damascus.

Genesis 15:2-4 [But Abram said, "O Sovereign LORD, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?" And Abram said, "You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir."Then the word of the LORD came to him: "This man will not be your heir, but a son coming from your own body will be your heir." He took him outside and said, "Look up at the heavens and count the stars—if indeed you can count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be."]

Abraham believed God's promise, but since his wife Sarah had borne him no children, she gave her Egyptian maid servant, Hagar, to his husband to be his wife.

Genesis 16:15-16 [So Hagar bore Abram a son, and Abram gave the name Ishmael to the son she had borne. Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore him Ishmael.]

Now, Abraham has a child. He is Ishmael who has the birth-right as the first born son of Abraham.

In the law, The first born son is to inherit his father's estate.Hmm... Then, Who inherited Abraham's estate? Ishmael???No....!! It is Isaac who is reckoned as Abraham's offspring.

Why? Have you ever though about it?


The Importance of Mother

Through the study of Abraham’s family I have come to realize the importance of Mother. The bible says,

Genesis 17:19 [Then God said, "Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.]

Although Issac was not the first son of Abraham, God established the lasting covenant with him. It is because he was born through Sarah, the free woman. As many of us know, Abraham is one of the people who represent God in the bible. (Luke 16:19-31). Then, though the history of Abraham we can see what the key factor is for us to inherit our Father’s estate.

Who is the key factor? It is Mother. In order to inherit the kingdom of God, our Father, we must also have Mother God. It is difficult to show everything in the bible by writing the post, but when you see all the truth of the bible, I’m certain that you will be amazed!

Our Father Ahnsahnghong is the true savior in this last age because he leads us to Our Mother God as well as to all these mysteries in the bible.

Christmas originated in pagan customs

Christian history testifies that Christmas originated in pagan customs, from those who worshiped idols, and that it was not until much later that the festival became "Christianized."

1 ■ HISTORY OF THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH by Philip Schaff, Hendrickson Publishers, pp. 396-397. "The Christmas festival was probably the Christian transformation or regeneration of a series of kindred heathen festivals—the Saturnalia, Sigillaria, Juvenalia, and Brumalia—which were kept in Rome in the month of December, in commemoration of the golden age of universal freedom and equality, and in honor of the unconquered sun, and which were great holidays, especially for slaves and children. This connection accounts for many custom of the Christmas season, like the giving of presents to children and to the poor, the lighting of wax tapers, perhaps also the erection of Christmas trees...Finally, the church fathers themselves confirm the symbolical reference of the feast of the birth of Christ, the Sun of righteousness, the Light of the world, to the birth-festival of the unconquered sun, which on the twenty-fifth of December, after the winter solstice, breaks the growing power of darkness, and begins anew his heroic career."

2 ■ THE HISTORY OF CHRISTIANITY A Lion Handbook, p. 141. "The Christian church took over many pagan ideas and images. From sun-worship, for example, came the celebration of Christ’s birth on the twenty-fifth of December, the birthday of the Sun."

3 ■ A BRIEF HISTORY OF CHRISTIANITY by Bamber Gascoigne, Robinson, p. 16. "In 274 Aurelian believed that the sun-god had brought him victory in Syria. He set up a state cult to Sol Invictus, the unconquered sun: and announced that the birthday of the sun, a day of special festivity, was December 25th. The sun’s halo, as well as the date of his birthday, would later be borrowed by Christianity."

Through these historical evidence, we can easily conclude that there is no relationship between Christmas and Jesus’ birth. Christmas is merely a Roman festival—for the sun god—that was Christianized later.

Dictionaries and newspapers also testify that December 25th was not the birthday of Jesus, but of the sun god.

"Christmas/December 25 was the date of a pagan festival in Rome, chosen in A.D. 274 by the emperor Aurelian as the birthday of the unconquered sun (natalis solis invicti), which at the winter solstice begins again to show an increase of light. "This date [December 25] was not set in the West until about the middle of the 4th century and in the East until about a century later...The reason for establishing December 25 as Christmas is somewhat obscure, but it is usually held that the day was chosen to correspond to pagan festivals that took place around the time of the winter solstice, when the days begin to lengthen, to celebrate the "rebirth of the sun." Northern European tribes celebrate their chief festival of Yule at the winter solstice to commemorate the rebirth of the sun as the giver of light and warmth. The Roman Saturnalia (a festival dedicated to Saturn, the god of agriculture, and to the renewed power of the sun), also took place at this time and some Christmas customs are thought to be rooted in this ancient pagan celebration."

3 ■ "TODAY" (a newspaper published in Singapore) Tuesday, December 21, 2004 "Two thousand years ago, this [Christmas] was the very kind of celebration that alarmed the early Christian Church, which was disgusted with the cheer and merriment that marked the pagan festivals of their new converts. At first, the Church forbade this kind of celebration. But it was to no avail....The 25th was not only sacred to the Romans, but also to the Persians—whose religion, Mithraism, was one of Christianity’s main rivals then. The Church was successful eventually in taking the merriment, lights and gifts from the pagan festival and bringing them to the celebration of Christmas. The history of celebrating the end of the year or of a cycle dates back to more than 4,000 years. Many of the Christmas traditions were celebrated centuries before Jesus Christ was born...As the winter solstice approached, with its long cold nights and short days, many people feared the sun would not return. Special rituals and celebrations were held to welcome back the sun..."

Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Seal of God

Jeremiah 25: 32

This is what the LORD Almighty says:

"Look! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation;

a mighty storm rising from the ends of the earth."

God is bringing terrible disaster to the whole world. Only God can save us during time of disasters. Then wouldn't you want to know how to be protected when this last disaster comes on the whole world? Christ Ahnsahnghong has shown us the way the truth and the life to recieve salvation.

Rev 7: 2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: 3"Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God." 4Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.

The angel coming from the east is God almighty, second coming Christ, Christ Ahnsahnghong. Christ Ahnsahnghong will come from east and gives his children the seal of God. Then shouldn't Christ Ahnsahnghong tell us how to have the seal of God? Of course.

John 6: 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.

Jesus is the seal of God then how can we have Jesus in us that we may also have the seal?

John 6: 53Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink."

Then we have to have the flesh and blood of Christ to recieve the seal of God! How do we have the flesh and blood of Christ?

Matt 26: 26While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." 27Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. 28This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

The only way that Christ left for us to have his flesh and blood is through the Passover of the new covenant. If we celebrate Passover than we receive the seal of God which will protect us from the last disaster that will come on the whole world. Christ Ahnsahnghong came to bring this great news of salvation. Christ Ahnsahnghong is Mighty God that has bought eternal life and has given us the seal of God through the Passover. Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Great and Mighty God that has come in the flesh to protect us and give us eternal life. Believe in the name Christ Ahnsahnghong! Christ Ahnsahnghong is the seal of God that will protect us from disasters.
